PARIS – Tour M Generali // non construit

In the district of La Défense, next to the GAN and AXA towers, the project proposal of the Generali tower constitutes a major urban opportunity. The dynamic landmark can easily be spotted from the center of Paris, and offers multiples sight perceptions: Oblique lines, curves and a spire reinvent Paris’ horizon commonly composed of rectangular towers outlines. At the top of the tower, the spire accommodates a series of wind generators. The ground floor and the lower levels accommodate the kindergarten, the building hall, the restaurants and the conferences rooms, all of which are conceived as pavilions. Associated with Neuilly – La Défense’s housing block, they compose a legible and lively square. The office tower strides over the pavilions and the autonomy of these two components of the dual-program asserts the distinctive scales of the site: the street level, the skyline.
