NEW YORK Tour Hearst // non construit

The Hearst Corporation had outgrown its original six-story building in the heart of New York. To extend its premises, an office block was built above the existing historical building, which had to be preserved. Without giving the impression of resting on a base, the tower rises towards the sky like a flame, a statement on the New York skyline, a landmark for the city, and a strong symbol for the Hearst Corporation. The building was finally built by Norman Foster.
