Café Beaubourg Paris

France - Paris 1985 › 1987

Facing the public square in front of the George Pompidou Center in Paris, the Beaubourg Café was built in 1987 at the request of Gilbert Costes. It occupies the ground floor of three historic Parisian buildings.

Once isolated and deserted in the evening, this area has become a lively meeting point where everyone is at ease; some talk, some watch, some work. Here, Christian de Portzamparc worked as a painter and an architect.
